Placement and orientation

Mount the unit close to the vehicle’s centre of gravity, level, top side up. The side of the device having the motor/PWM pins should preferably face toward the rear of the vehicle (SD card opening should open towards the left side of the vehicle).

If the unit cannot face forward, set SENS_BOARD_ROT in PX4 to the rotation you used. The PX4 orientation page lists the values.

Dimensions

The assembled unit weighs 70 g and measures 97 × 52 × 23 mm (L × W × H). The rest of the specification is in Specifications.

The FMUM measures 38.8 × 31.8 × 15 mm and mounts on four M2 threads, 4 mm deep, in the corners of its underside, 24.4 mm apart across the 31.8 mm face.
